Active Communities network is a leading sport for development charity which uses sport, media and arts as a pathway into education, training and employment. We deliver grass root activities 50 weeks of the year, with over 5,000 young people attending sessions across our five locations annually. Of these young people a huge 65% gain either accredited or non-accredited qualifications which help to build their CV or access further education.
However, we understand that we can’t support every young person on our own, instead, our training offer enables us to capacity build smaller organisations to guarantee young people are getting the support when needed.
In addition, the courses help to bridge the gap between young people and working professionals to guarantee everyone makes the most of work experience opportunities and to develop healthier, more inclusive communities.
